Celebrating New Year’s Eve in Marrakech 2026 feels different from European cities. There are no public fireworks or large street gatherings, and many traditional neighbourhoods stay quiet. Most of the festive atmosphere takes place indoors rather than outdoors.
Because there are no official Marrakech city events, the experience depends entirely on the venue you choose. Restaurants, hotels, rooftops, and desert camps prepare their own New Year’s Eve programmes, often with limited availability. Booking early is the best way to secure the celebration style you want.
When planning a new year eve in Marrakech 2026, keep in mind that celebrations can be on the pricier side, especially in hotels and fine-dining venues, or places offering dinner with a show.

Kabana Marrakech rooftop food and cocktails restaurant is one of the most trendy restaurants in Marrakech. Only a few minutes from the famous Jemaa el-Fna square, Kabana has a fantastic view of the Koutoubia mosque, great DJs, international vibes, and good food. More contemporary vibes, love their music and style. Even though it is in Medina, it is a great location, at the exit of Medina, next to the road with taxis. I personally love Kabana rooftop, and we go there time to time with my friends – so not only a place for tourists (great contemporary music and DJ programme). So, I would go for NYE here for sure.

If you want a more upscale dinner with traditional Moroccan music and dance on the New Year’s EVE program, head to the Comptoir Darna (famous for the belly dancers’ shows), which consists of a restaurant, nightclub and patio. For New Year’s Eve 2026, they will have a beautiful evening, a fusion between East and West: traditional musicians, oriental dancers, DJs and other performers. It’s almost always fully booked, so make sure you make a reservation now via their website. Comptoir Darna is loacted in a popular party street in Marrakech new town, Hivernage, in the same place you will find more places, like L”Epicurien (few min walk), or Marrakech Casino, with Theater night club downstairs.

Entrepotes is a lounge, bar and tapas restaurant with good vibes, setting, and music. My favourite part of Entrepotes is the inside garden. If you book in advance, ask to have a place there. If you want a nice dinner, a cosy setting, mingle with locals (popular place among locals and expats), head to Enrepotes – it’s not disco style place, more lounge with great vibes – one of place I often go myself. They are often full, so make sure you book in advance.
Riad El Fenn rooftop

The famous Riad El Fenn in Medina (where even Madonna once celebrated her birthday) kick off your New Years Eve 2026 in Marrakech in style with a three-course dinner on our beautiful rooftop before a DJ takes over and counts you down to midnight. DarDar Rooftop is a popular rooftop restaurant in Marrakech, located within walking distance of Jemaa el-Fna, making it easy to reach from the Medina. It is known for its lively atmosphere, views over the old city, and evening entertainment rather than quiet dining. On busy dates like New Year’s Eve, they usually run a set programme with music and performances. Because of its popularity and limited seating, booking well in advance is essential.

If you are in the mood for dinner, dance, and live music, then dress nicely and head to Épicurien – located in the new town of Marrakech, it is a restaurant and a modern ultra lounge. Before entering Epicurien, you will pass the famous Marrakech Casino area. NYE 2026 programme: Live Band, DJ, Dancers and performers. After Epicurien, you can head downstairs to Theatro Marrakech, a nightclub open until morning, 5am. Epicurien and Theatro belong to the same management system, so the same email to book both.

Jnane Rumi is a boutique hotel in Marrakech’s Palmeraie, about a 20-minute drive from the medina. Agafay desert
The Agafay Desert is a rocky, lunar-like landscape about 50 minutes from Marrakech. Travellers often confuse it with the Sahara, but Agafay has no sand dunes – it is stone, open hills, and wide horizons. The area has many camps of different sizes, most offering dinner, a small live-music programme, and the option to stay overnight. For New Year’s Eve, several camps organise larger events. Also, keep in mind you need transport, but all camps offer that service as well.
One of them is La Bohème, a camp for events mainly (it can also fit big groups). La Boheme for New Year’s Eve in Marrakech 2026 offers a menu and a show programme for 1500 MAD (around 150 euros per person drinks excluded).
Be Agafay is a more boutique-style camp where you can also spend the night (owned by the same people as the famous Riad Be in Marrakech).
