Hakimi Among Top Assist Providers in Champions League

Rabat – Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi has made a remarkable impact on the leaderboard for assists in the 2025-26 Champions League season.

Hakimi currently boasts six assists, marginally trailing behind the top-ranked duo of Bayern Munich’s Olise and Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior, who share the lead with eight assists each.

This achievement further cements Hakimi’s status as one of the world’s elite wing-backs, and his presence on the list is particularly notable given his defensive role.

Maintaining such a high creative output in the UEFA Champions League highlights the Moroccan right-back’s tactical importance.

Hakimi remains within striking distance of the summit, proving that he can compete statistically with elite forwards like Vinícius Júnior and specialized midfielders like Olise.

A pillar of the Atlas Lions

Beyond his Club success, Hakimi has become the undisputed heartbeat of the Moroccan National team. As the Atlas Lions prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the PSG star has fittingly evolved from a traditional explosive fullback into a veteran leader and primary playmaker.

During the recent international break, he provided three assists in two matches against Paraguay and Ecuador.

As the World Cup approaches, all eyes will be on the Moroccan star to see if he can  help the Atlas Lions outdo their 2022 heroics in Qatar and lift the most prestigious international trophy.
