Rabat—The streets of the capital exploded with joy tonight as Moroccans celebrated the Atlas Lions’ historic qualification for the AFCON 2025 final. The victory came after a thrilling semi-final against Nigeria at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, which Morocco won on penalties.

Goalkeeper Yassine Bounou became the hero of the night, making two crucial saves, including on the final penalty to secure Morocco’s place in the final and a well-deserved Man of the Match trophy. His heroics sent fans into delirium, turning the city into a sea of red and green.
