Rabat – The Moroccan passport’s ranking has improved by three spots to reach 62 in the recent Henley Passport Index’s 2026 Global Ranking.

The Moroccan passport, which allows visa-free entry to a total of 72 countries, shares the 62nd position with Indonesia and Eswatini.

The improvement reflects a gradual strengthening of Morocco’s global mobility standing compared to previous editions.

African visa-free destinations for Moroccans include Tunisia, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Guinea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Sierra Leone, Gabon, Angola, and Zambia, among others.

The Moroccan passport also allows visa-free entry to several Latin American countries, including Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Suriname.

Moroccans can also visit a number of Asian countries without a visa. These include Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines, among others.

The index ranks 199 passports based on data provided by the International Air Transport Authority (IATA), in addition to open-source data.

Singapore leads the ranking with a visa-free score of 192, followed by Japan and South Korea, which share the second spot with a visa-free score of 187.

Meanwhile, Sweden and the UAE shared the third position, with their passports allowing for visa-free entry to 186 destinations.

Sharing the fourth spot are Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Switzerland. Their respective passports allow for visa-free entry to 185 destinations.

The bottom of the ranking includes countries with the least travel freedom, where passports allow visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to very few destinations. These include Afghanistan with only 24 visa free destinations, Syria (26), Iraq (29), Yemen (31), and Pakistan (32).
