Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, emphasized the strategic importance of digital transformation during the closing ceremony of the fifth edition of the Digital Now 2025 international conference in Casablanca. Organized by the Club of Moroccan Leaders (CDD), the event brought together leading figures from across Morocco’s digital ecosystem for three days of intensive work, professional debates, and technical workshops, positioning the conference as a key milestone in the digital agenda for Morocco and Africa.

In her closing remarks, Minister Seghrouchni underscored that digital transformation is a critical lever to enhance the competitiveness of the national economy, foster innovation, and enable startups as well as very small, small, and medium enterprises to fully integrate into the digital economy, in full alignment with Morocco’s strategic objectives in digitalization. She highlighted the growing significance of the digital sector in Morocco and described Digital Now as an effective platform for training, knowledge sharing, and innovation support. The Minister further stressed the conference’s role in strengthening the integration of startups and SMEs into the digital economy and in building a comprehensive digital environment while preparing economic actors for rapidly evolving technological changes.

The opening sessions featured a distinguished lineup of innovation and digital transformation leaders, including Lamia Benmakhlouf, CEO of Technopark Morocco, who reaffirmed the platform’s commitment to supporting startups and accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies within the national entrepreneurial fabric; Mohammed Saad, Deputy CEO of the Casablanca Stock Exchange, who highlighted the role of digital transformation in enhancing market attractiveness and modernizing financial infrastructures; and Anouar Alaoui Ismaïli, CEO of Maroc PME, who emphasized the central role of innovation in improving the performance of VSEs and SMEs and opening new growth opportunities.

Throughout the conference, a series of specialized workshops were organized on topics including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, SME digitalization, startup support, and the future of the digital economy in Morocco and Africa. The event also hosted numerous B2B meetings, connecting investors with entrepreneurs, alongside open discussion panels presenting the latest global digital trends.

This edition showcased over 90 exhibitors presenting cutting-edge digital solutions, attracting hundreds of visitors and professionals, making Digital Now a practical platform for knowledge exchange, partnership building, and launching joint initiatives between national and international stakeholders.

Evaluating the success of the edition, Idriss Dhrif, President and Founder of the CDD noted that the fifth edition was exceptional in terms of participation, content richness, and interaction between institutions and young entrepreneurs. He confirmed that the upcoming 2026 edition would be more open, content-rich, and internationally oriented.

The conference also included a ceremony honoring key figures who contributed significantly to digital initiatives and startup support, including Lamia Benmakhlouf, Anouar Alaoui Ismaïli, and Idriss Dhrif, with the presence of Abdelkrim Mezouzi, Vice President of the Moroccan Federation of Information, Communication, and Offshoring Technologies (APEBI), who highlighted the event’s role in strengthening the digital sector’s competitiveness and integrating youth into the tech market.

The event concluded with the announcement of winners of the youth entrepreneur competition, recognizing Moroccan startups delivering innovative solutions to real-world challenges related to digitalization and smart services. Organizers described the competition as a tangible opportunity to showcase 100% Moroccan talent and highlight their capacity for innovation and competitiveness at both national and regional levels.

The fifth edition of Digital Now 2025, which began last Wednesday in Casablanca, was held at ICEC Exhibition Center – Ain Sebaa, providing an ideal platform for knowledge exchange, partnership development, and supporting digital innovation at both national and regional levels. The sixth edition of the conference is scheduled for December 9–11, 2026.
