Agadir – Damane Cash has signed a cooperation agreement with key organizations representing Morocco’s pharmacy sector to promote the adoption of electronic payment solutions in pharmacies and modernize daily transactions.

The partnership brought together the Regional Council of Pharmacists of the South, the Regional Council of Pharmacists of the North, and the National Federation of Pharmacists’ Unions of Morocco.

The initiative aims to integrate digital technology into pharmacy operations while supporting professionals in improving services for patients.

In a statement shared on its official page on LinkedIn, Damane Cash described the collaboration as “a structuring partnership for the digitization of payments in pharmacies in Morocco.” The company added that the agreement aims to modernize collection systems across the sector.

The initiative will enable pharmacies to adopt advanced electronic payment solutions, including terminals that allow customers to pay by bank card instead of relying solely on cash.

According to the company, the partnership “paves the way for the deployment of electronic payment acquisition solutions adapted to the needs of pharmacies, facilitating the acceptance of electronic payments while guaranteeing secure transactions that comply with industry standards.”

The initiative also includes deploying payment systems tailored to pharmacists’ daily activities. These solutions are expected to simplify payment collection, improve transaction security, and provide patients with multiple payment options when purchasing medicines or receiving pharmaceutical services.

Damane Cash explained that the initiative aligns with the broader digital transformation in Morocco’s commercial sector and reflects evolving consumer payment habits.

“By putting its expertise and national network at the service of healthcare professionals, Damane Cash confirms its desire to support the transformation of payment practices and to offer reliable, efficient and accessible solutions,” the company said.

    Morocco’s shift toward cashless payments

The partnership between Damane Cash and pharmacy organizations also aligns with broader national efforts to modernize payment systems and accelerate the digital transformation of commercial activities across multiple sectors.

In February 2026, the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy launched the “Stay Cashless” initiative in partnership with Attijariwafa Bank and Visa to accelerate the adoption of digital payments in Morocco’s tourism industry.

The program aims to simplify transactions for visitors by enabling secure, internationally accepted payment methods across tourism services, while introducing tools such as pay-by-link, tap-on-phone solutions, and dynamic currency conversion for businesses.
