Rabat – Moroccan authorities arrested a 24-year-old French national of Tunisian descent at Mohammed V International Airport today.

The suspect was traveling from Tunisia when police identified him as the subject of an international arrest warrant issued by French judicial authorities.

According to officials, the man is suspected of involvement in organized crime, cocaine trafficking, and possession of firearms and ammunition.

Moroccan police confirmed his status through Interpol’s global database and coordinated with the French authorities to ensure proper extradition procedures.

The suspect is now under formal extradition proceedings, while Morocco’s Interpol office in Rabat has notified its counterpart in Paris to oversee the process.

Authorities described the arrest as part of Morocco’s ongoing effort to strengthen international security cooperation and bring individuals wanted for serious cross-border crimes to justice.

The arrest shows Morocco’s commitment to strengthening international security and fighting cross-border crime.

Close cooperation with Interpol enables Moroccan police to track and detain individuals wanted abroad and ensures that those involved in serious criminal networks face justice.
