Rabat – Morocco’s Meteorology Directorate (DGM) alerted citizens and residents across Morocco that stormy rainfall will continue in several provinces across the country until Wednesday.
The weather directorate said thunderstorms producing 60 to 80 millimeters of downpours are expected to continue from this morning until Monday at 4 p.m. in the provinces of Tangier-Assilah, M’Diq-Findeq, Chefchaouen, Fahs-Anjra, Ouezzane, Tetouane, and Larache.
Rainfall of 30 to 60 kilometers is also expected in Taouante and Al Hoceima during the same period.
Midelt, This morning, snowfall of 10 to 20 centimeters is expected to fall in Guercif, Sefrou, Taza, Boulemane, Ifrane, and Al Hoceima, and will continue until 9 a.m. Monday morning. Monday, 9 a.m.
Winds of 75 to 90 kilometers per hour that started this morning are expected until 10 p.m. in the provinces of Figuig, Tarouritm, Jerada, Taza, Al Hoceiema, and Chefchaouen.
The same weather will affect several other provinces, including Tangier-Assilah, Ouezzane, Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Al Hoceima, Chefchaouen, M’Diq-Fnideq, Tetouan, Guercif, Figuig, and Driouch from Tuesday morning to Wednesday at 6 a.m.
Windy weather will also concern Sefrou, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Taza, Meknes, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Fez, Boulemane, Kenitra, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Rabat, Sale, Skhirate-Temara, Khemisset, Benslimane, Berrechid, Casablanca, Mediouna, Mohammedia, Nouaceur, El Jadida, and Midelt.
Cold temperatures between -8 degrees and -3 degrees Celsius will hit the provinces of Midelt, Boulemane, Taza, Guercif, Sefrou, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Tinghir, Al Haouz, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Ifrane, Khenifra, and Chichaoua today.
