Sasken Technologies has entered into a collaboration with Trend Micro subsidiary and automotive cybersecurity company VicOne.

The partnership will seek to enhance the cybersecurity for in-vehicle systems and fleet-wide operations for car manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers worldwide.

Under the partnership, VicOne will provide its end-to-end automotive cybersecurity solution, which includes the xCarbon system for intrusion detection, vSOC platform for fleet monitoring, and EVSE Security solutions to protect of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

In a statement, Sasken said that VicOne’s offerings will provide visibility, actionable intelligence, contextual analysis, and an overview of potential security threats specifically designed for vehicles and electric vehicle charging systems.

Sasken will bring its knowledge in engineering, validation, and system integration to the table. It will work alongside VicOne to jointly market, incorporate, and execute these cybersecurity solutions.

The initiative is set to enable original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and tier-1 suppliers in scaling up their cybersecurity across different systems, including operating systems, electronic control units (ECUs), and cloud-based platforms, while also streamlining the process of threat investigation.

Sasken Technologies Cybersecurity Practice AVP Rahul Bagchi said: “At Sasken, we are excited to partner with VicOne to address one of the most pressing challenges in the automotive industry -cybersecurity.

“Combining VicOne’s proven platforms with Sasken’s engineering and integration expertise, we will help OEMs and Tier-1s deploy secure, scalable, and audit-ready solutions across vehicles and fleets.”

Furthermore, the collaboration includes a reciprocal exchange of skills and knowledge. Sasken engineers will be trained in VicOne’s core technologies, which will open up opportunities for strategic system integration for VicOne.

This partnership is also structured to enable Sasken engineers to offer security solutions for advanced automotive platforms, operating systems, and services.

VicOne senior sales director Baker Lu said: “Partnering with Sasken marks a significant step forward, uniting their engineering and integration expertise with our cybersecurity solutions—xCarbon, xNexus, and EV Charging Protection—for seamless deployment across vehicle platforms and charging infrastructure.

“Together, we look forward to supporting OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers in meeting regulatory requirements, addressing evolving threats, and reinforcing user trust in the global connected mobility ecosystem.”
