Rabat — Winners in their opening matches, Nigeria and Tunisia meet in Group C, Matchday 2 of the AFCON tonight at the Complexe Sportif de Fes.

Both teams will be looking to secure early qualification for the knockout stage after Nigeria defeated Tanzania 2–1 and Tunisia beat Uganda 3–1 in their opening matches.

The match also continues a long-standing rivalry between the two sides, which dates back to 1961. Since then, Nigeria and Tunisia have played each other in multiple AFCON tournaments and World Cup qualifying campaigns, most recently in 2022 for the 2021 AFCON Round of 16, where Tunisia came out on top with a 1–0 win.
