Rabat – As part of the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup, Wydad AC of Morocco is facing Tanzanian club Azam today.

The match will take place today at 5 p.m. Moroccan time at Stade Aamaan in Zanzibar. The game will be aired on beIN Sports 5.

Azam’s head coach, Florent Ibenge, has called on his team to enjoy every competition, as these events bring players and African football together.

“We have identified why we lost in the first game, so expect a great improvement from the team tomorrow. When you concede in a game, it makes work challenging for a team,” he said in a pre-match conference.

Wydad head coach Mohammed Amine Benhachem expressed his club’s determination to do its best to win another three points.

“It is not easy against Azam; they are a possession-based team that hardly lets the opponent touch the ball,” the coach acknowledged.

For the coach, however, Wydad has its own identity and its own strategy that it will use to qualify.

“They have an experienced coach, and players will know African competitions well,” he said.

Wydad won its first game against Nairobi United last week on Sunday, 3-0.

Observers expect a draw or a tight result during today’s game.
