Meknes – AFCON 2025 games will continue today, as Senegal face DR Congo after securing three points each in their Group D openers.

The game will take place at 4.00 p.m. (Moroccan time) at the Grand Stadium of Tangier, and will be broadcast live on TV by beIN Sports, SuperSport, and Arryadia TV, while fans can also follow the action in fan zones all across Morocco.

Senegal is currently positioned first in Group D, following their 3-0 win over Botswana, while DR Congo sit second after beating Benin 1-0.

Both sides have made solid starts in the tournament, so a victory today will guarantee progression to the knockout stage ahead of the final group-stage games.

Senegal have 18 appearances in the AFCON, making them one of Africa’s most consistent competitors.

They won their first and only AFCON title in 2021, defeating Egypt on penalties. They also finished as runners-up twice, in 2002 and 2019.

DR Congo are no less experienced than their opponent, as they have appeared 21 times in AFCON since their debut in 1965.

The Leopards have won the tournament twice, in 1968 and 1974. They have also finished third on two occasions, in 1998 and 2015, and reached the knockout stages multiple times in recent editions.

Given Senegal’s attacking form and DR Congo’s defensive resilience, the game is expected to be close, with a narrow win for Senegal.

Predicted Score: Senegal 2 – 1 DR Congo.
