Rabat – Gabon and Mozambique will play their AFCON game today, with both targeting their first win at the competition.

The two teams will face off today at 1:30 p.m. Moroccan time at the Grande Stade d’Agadir.

Both suffered defeats in their opening matches as part of Group F.

Gabon suffered a 1-0 defeat against Cameroon, while Mozambique lost to Cote d’Ivoire 1-0.

Fans can watch the game on several channels, including beIN Sports Connect, beIN Sports France 2, DAZN Deutsch, DAZN Japan, Fanatiz in the USA, and Fubo.

Mozambique arrived at the tournament with a rallying cry, acknowledging the tough challenge ahead in AFCON Morocco.

“Being among the 24 best African nations is a testament to our merit,” Mozambique coach Chiquinho Conde said.

He added that the achievement his team has made gives them courage and motivation to raise their ambitions even higher

“It was interesting to note that during the interview with Cote d’Ivoire’s captain, he mentioned several teams and key players from the group but completely overlooked Mozambique, dismissing us entirely,” Conde said before AFCON.

He added that this could be in the team’s favor.

“We will use this as fuel to inspire the players and draw positive energy so that we can prove ourselves,” he added.

Today’s AFCON fixtures feature Gabon vs Mozambique, Equatorial Guinea vs Sudan, Algeria vs Burkina Faso, and Côte d’Ivoire vs Cameroon.
