Trump Accuses British PM of Not Being Helpful

Rabat – US President Donald Trump has accused the UK’s Prime Minister Keir Starmer of not being helpful amid the war between US, Israel, and Iran.

Trump made his accusations in a new interview with the The Sun newspaper published on Tuesday, taking a stance against the UK’s initial decision to block the US from using its airbases to bomb Tehran on Saturday.

“It’s a different world, actually. It’s just a much different kind of relationship that we’ve had with your country before,” Trump said.

He added he never thought he’d “see that from the UK.”

Earlier this week, Starmer told MPs that he does not “believe in regime change from the skies.”

“President Trump has expressed his disagreement with our decision not to get involved in the initial strikes, but it is my duty to judge what is in Britain’s national interest,” he told MPs.

The PM, however, said the situation changed on Sunday after Iran’s “outrageous” retaliatory operations.

For him, Iran attacks threatened people, including British citizens across the Middle East. This prompted the UK’s decision to allow the bases to be used to hit Tehran’s infrastructure.

Iran today called on “enemies” to “stop the war,” urging the international community to “fulfill its responsibility before it is too late.”

Iran recently held a mass funeral ceremony for 165 people killed in an attack by the US and Israel against a school in Minab.

As the total death toll in Iran from Israeli-US attacks rises to at least 787, Tehran is rejecting talks.

“Eternal disgrace will remain upon those who claimed to pursue diplomacy but, in the face of Iran’s logic, bowed down and turned to the military option,” spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said.

“I ask my Arab friends to reflect carefully. The regime has no hesitation in expanding the scope of the war, smearing Iran’s reputation, and committing crimes in other countries.”

The US-Israeli attacks affected at least 153  cities across Iran, according to Al Jazeera, with a record of attacks reaching 1,039.

Meanwhile, Iran continues to launch its missile campaign, targeting US and Israeli assets in Gulf countries and beyond.

Israeli media claimed authorities intercepted four Iranian missiles over Jordan and near Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank.
