Ronaldo Reaffirms Commitment to Saudi Arabia After Ending Strike

Rabat – Cristiano Ronaldo has once again made clear that he sees his future in Saudi Arabia. Speaking after Al Nassr’s 4-0 win over Al Hazm, the Portuguese star said he feels at home in the country and wants to continue playing there.

“I am very happy here. I’ve said it many times: I belong to Saudi Arabia. This country welcomed me, my family, and my friends warmly.”

Ronaldo told Thamania TV: “I want to stay, and the most important thing is to keep working. We are at the top, we are winning, and we are pushing our rivals. We will see what happens at the end of the season.”

He scored twice in the win, leading Al Nassr to a comfortable result in Round 23 of the Saudi Pro League.

His performance came just days after he returned from a short strike. The 41‑year‑old had refused to play in several matches earlier in February, protesting what he saw as the club’s lack of ambition in the transfer market.

Reports said he was frustrated that Al Nassr did not bring in reinforcements while rivals like Al Hilal strengthened with big names.

The strike ended when Ronaldo rejoined the squad for the match against Al Fateh, where he scored within 18 minutes of his comeback. His quick return to form helped calm tensions, but his latest comments underline that his commitment to Saudi Arabia is not in doubt.

For Al Nassr, Ronaldo’s goals against Al Hazm were another reminder of his importance. The team remains in the hunt for the league title, and his leadership continues to be central to their push.

Cristiano Ronaldo also set another record in Al Nassr’s 4-0 win over Al Hazm. The Portuguese star scored twice, becoming the first player in history to reach 500 goals after turning 30.

The brace also lifted his career tally to 964 goals, keeping alive his chase for the historic 1,000‑goal mark. No player has ever come close to that milestone.
