RABAT— Morocco are preparing for a huge AFCON semi-final showdown against Nigeria tonight at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 21:00 local time. The host nation have confirmed their starting lineup to try to reach the AFCON final for the first time in more than 20 years. Tonight, Coach Walid Regragui has named a strong side.

Morocco XI: Yassine Bounou, Achraf Hakimi, Noussair Mazraoui, Nayef Aguerd, Brahim Diaz, Ismael Saibari, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, Ayoub El Kaabi, Bilal El Khannouss, Neil El Aynaoui, Adam Masina.

The Atlas Lions have enjoyed an impressive run in AFCON 2025, topping their group before posting a convincing 2–0 win over Cameroon in the quarter-finals. Brahim Díaz has been in sensational form, scoring in five straight matches.

Morocco have been strong defensively, conceding very few goals. They will be without midfielder Azzedine Ounahi, who remains sidelined due to injury. Veteran defender Romain Saïss has returned to training and could feature depending on the final fitness decision.

Morocco face a formidable Nigerian side that also arrives unbeaten at this stage. The Super Eagles, led by star forward Victor Osimhen, have scored freely throughout the tournament and will present a stern test for the hosts.

Regragui has stressed the importance of focus and tactical discipline ahead of tonight’s match, describing the clash as a defining moment in Morocco’s recent football history and underlining his team’s desire to reach the final.

Playing in front of passionate home fans in Rabat, Morocco will try to build on their strong form and make history by progressing to the AFCON final. It’s a chance to end a long wait for continental glory a title the nation has not lifted since 1976 and to reward the overwhelming support of supporters across the country.
