Rabat – Real Madrid have officially reached an agreement with CD Castellón to sign the young talent Fran Santamaría for next season, according to Marca.

The striker has made 32 appearances with CD Castellón this season, where he scored 15 goals. In addition to a dominant run in the División de Honor where he found the net 13 times in just 17 matches, making him a priority target for the club’s academy, “La Fábrica.”

The young star has set a new record as the most expensive academy player ever sold by Castellón. His development has been remarkable, showing growth that far exceeds his years.

Santamaría is a 1.85-meter-tall forward who can shoot effectively with both his feet. He has a natural talent for scoring and is known for being a very complete player.

During his second year in the youth ranks, he finished as the top scorer in the highest age category. This impressive performance earned him a quick promotion to start training with the club’s reserve team.

“The club wishes to thank Fran for his great commitment and dedication to the club all these years and wishes him the best of luck in his next professional stage,” the club announced in their farewell.

“The day I never imagined has arrived,” Fran wrote. “I’ve spent eight years at the club of my life, and now I say goodbye to Castellón, a place where I’ve grown not only as a player, but as a person.”

Santamaría will join Real Madrid for the start of the next season, as he is expected to begin his development at Valdebebas, joining La Fábrica.

The move follows Madrid’s strategy of signing top Spanish talent early to secure the club’s long-term future.
