Rabat – Real Madrid announced today that Eder Militao and Arda Guler have both suffered muscle injuries, raising doubts about their availability for the remainder of the season.
Militao started in Madrid’s narrow win over Alaves on Tuesday but was forced off before half‑time after limping heavily. Medical tests confirmed a hamstring problem in his left leg.
Guler also featured in the match, playing 58 minutes and assisting Kylian Mbappé’s opener.
He was later substituted for Franco Mastantuono after feeling discomfort. Doctors diagnosed a similar hamstring injury, this time in his right leg.
Season impact
Guler has been one of Madrid’s most productive players this season, leading the team with 9 assists in LaLiga and scoring 4 goals, his second‑best tally in LaLiga.
Militao, however, has struggled with fitness throughout the campaign, appearing in only 16 league matches. Over the past three seasons, he has managed just 38 La Liga games in total.

The club has not confirmed whether either player will miss the rest of the season or this summer’s World Cup.
Madrid return to action on Friday against Real Betis, but their title hopes are slim after Barcelona restored a nine‑point lead with six matches left.
At the World Cup, Militao’s Brazil are set to face Scotland, Morocco, and Haiti in the group stage. Guler’s Turkey will meet Australia, Paraguay, and co-host the US
For now, Madrid must cope without two key figures as the season enters its decisive phase.
