Notre Dame’s Braeden Shrewsberry at full health ahead of new season

Notre Dame’s 2024-25 men’s basketball season wasn’t its best, and Micah Shrewsberry did a lot of work this offseason to ensure the Fighting Irish have much more success in 2025-26.

One player he can lean on is son Braeden Shrewsberry, who has been fully cleared for all basketball-related activities, per Jon Rothstein.

The 6-foot-4 junior guard averaged a career-best 14 points per game last season and connected on 36.9 percent of his threes before suffering the season-ending lower abdomen injury. The strain occurred during Notre Dame’s matchup against SMU in February, but the injury did not require surgery.

Notre Dame finished last year 15-18 and 8-12 in ACC play.

The Irish begin the 2025-26 season with exhibition play against Butler and DePaul before starting regular season competition on November 3 against LIU Brooklyn at home.
