Rabat – Newcastle United are eyeing Morocco’s Chemsdine Talbi for the summer transfer window, according to Sportsboom. Aston Villa and Brighton are also showing interest.

The 20-year-old joined Sunderland in July 2025 from Club Brugge in a five-year deal worth $23 million. Since joining, he has made 23 Premier League appearances for Sunderland this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist.

Sunderland are prepared to part ways for the right offer, reportedly valuing the player between $45m and $55m, with a transfer likely in the summer of 2026.

Newcastle United see Chemsdine Talbi as a strategic replacement for Anthony Gordon, who has been linked with an $80m move to Manchester United.

Talbi was part of the Moroccan team that won the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, making one appearance during the tournament. His inclusion in a title-winning squad at just 20 years old added valuable experience and confidence to his development.

Newcastle’s interest in Chemsdine Talbi fits with the team’s sporting project focused on recruiting high-potential young talents, the Moroccan international is seen as an ideal fit who could bring a powerful attacking energy into the squad.

Talbi’s rapid development in European leagues and the Moroccan national team made him one of the most exciting young talents in African football.
