Before jumping to the list, here are a few things to note. Morocco, like other Muslim countries, is officially celebrating the Islamic New Year. Islamic New Year 2023 in Morocco will begin on the evening of July 18, 2023. Also, Morocco celebrates the Amazigh New Year, called Yennayer, which will be celebrated on January 12, 2023. However, the traditional Western New Year celebration on the last day of December is very popular in Morocco.
Remember that in the city’s public places or the main Jemaa el Fna square, fireworks or celebrations will not be seen in the street. New Year’s Eve is more celebrated in private circles and restaurants.
New Year’s Eve 2023 party in Marrakech can be expensive, so I listed places for each budget. However, compared to European prices, celebrating New Year’s Eve of 2023 in Moroccan restaurants/clubs is not cheap. Remember that reservation is required for all New Year’s Eve events.

I suggest spending New Year’s eve 2023 at the super trendy place in Marrakech Medina, Kabana rooftop food & cocktails restaurant. Only a few minutes from the famous Jemaa el-Fna square, Kabana has an exclusive view of the Atlas mountains and the Koutoubia mosque. Comptoir Darna

If you want a more upscale dinner with traditional Moroccan music and dance on the New Years’ EVE program, head to the Comptoir Darna (famous for the belly dancers’ shows), which consists of a restaurant, nightclub and patio. DAR SOUKKAR

Palais Dar Soukkar offers international, Moroccan and Asian cuisine in an enchanting indoor “Arabian nights” atmosphere or outside under the stars of Marrakesh. This place is known for good live shows. Located 15 min drive from the city centre (on the route to Ourika Valley), it also has a lounge if you want to enjoy a drink in a relaxing and chic spirit. If you want to feel a bit of Australian taste on New Year’s Eve, head to the minimalistic restaurant, Plus 61, located in the new part of town, Gueliz. They will be celebrating with the sounds of DJ Edamme.

Entrepotes is a lounge, bar and tapas restaurant with good vibes, setting, and music. My favourite part of Entrepotes is the inside garden. If you book in advance, ask to have a place there. If you want a nice dinner for an affordable price (compared to other places), a cosy setting, mingle with locals, head to Enrepotes and for dances, continue to some nightclubs. They are often full, so make sure you book in advance.

Ring in the new year with @rakelectronik fam´ at @oasis.terrajanna (15 min drive from Marrakech center). RAK ELECTRONIC organised great electronic music parties in off-beaten-path locations. I spent one New Years night partying in the Agafay desert, the party was organised by the same guys and it was great.
They have a selective lineup ready to rock the Palm Grove until late in the morning. As usual, be prepared for a delightful sunset and a magic sunrise (8PM – 10 AM.:. 14 hours of the groove).
