Rabat – Rabie Hrimat, captain of Morocco’s national team, was named the Best Player of the Arab Cup after leading his squad to a dramatic 3–2 victory over Jordan in the tournament final.

The match, which extended beyond 120 minutes and included two intense extra halves, tested the endurance and determination of both teams.

Hrimat’s leadership, vision, and skill were instrumental in Morocco’s triumph. He consistently inspired his teammates, guiding them through high-pressure moments and maintaining composure during one of the most challenging finals of the competition. His influence on the field earned him the individual accolade, highlighting his key role in Morocco’s title-winning campaign.

With this honor, Hrimat becomes only the second Moroccan player to receive the Best Player award in Arab Cup history, following Yassine Salhi in 2012. His performances throughout the tournament, marked by consistency and resilience, cement his growing reputation in Moroccan football.

Morocco’s victory was a collective effort. Every member of the squad contributed to the success, with goalkeeper Mehdi Benabid also earning the Best Goalkeeper award for his crucial saves and commanding presence in goal. Together, the team demonstrated remarkable cohesion and fighting spirit, securing the Arab Cup in a hard-fought match.

Fans across Morocco celebrated the victory with immense pride, taking to the streets and public spaces to honor the team’s achievement.

The win affirms the national team’s rising prominence in regional football and highlights the central role of Rabii Hrimatt in leading Morocco to glory.
