Casablanca – Debates on cybersecurity, digital governance, and the fight against online crime will take center stage at Summit Digital 2026, an international gathering focused on justice and new technologies scheduled to begin on February 26 in Madrid.

Organizers have announced that Morocco will participate as the guest of honor at this year’s edition, a designation that underscores the country’s involvement in judicial modernization and digital transformation efforts.

The choice reflects recognition of Morocco’s engagement in strengthening international legal cooperation and advancing governance frameworks suited to an evolving digital landscape.

The summit will open with a preparatory meeting bringing together senior judicial officials, regulators, and institutional representatives from Europe, Latin America, and Africa.

That session is intended to facilitate exchanges on the integration of emerging technologies within judicial systems and to encourage coordinated responses to shared challenges.

Participants are expected to contribute to discussions on justice reform, cybersecurity, and safeguarding the digital ecosystem. Organizers say the preparatory meeting will lay the groundwork for broader conversations during the main sessions of the summit.

Throughout the event, panels and working discussions will examine technological governance, regulation of digital platforms, cybersecurity threats, and measures to combat organized crime and piracy in an increasingly connected world.

The program reflects growing attention among legal authorities to the implications of rapid technological change on judicial institutions and cross-border enforcement.

Summit Digital 2026 aims to strengthen the alignment of judicial systems with digital realities while promoting deeper international collaboration.

By convening policymakers, regulators, and judicial leaders, the event seeks to foster coordinated strategies capable of addressing the complex legal and technological issues shaping the future of justice.
