Marrakech – The Red City is set to become the center of global mining innovation as the Morocco International Mining Congress & Exhibition (IMC 2025) takes place from 24–26 November at the Pickalbatros Golf Hotel.
The event promises to position Morocco as a hub for sustainable mining, critical minerals, and green industrialization.
“IMC 2025 is shaping up to be an essential platform for dialogue and expertise-sharing on the global mining landscape,” said Mr. Mohammed Cherrat, President of FDIM, in a press release shared with MWN.
“This edition, under the theme ‘Strategic and Critical Metals: Morocco, an open industrial and technological hub for regional and global added value,’ will highlight Morocco’s role in the energy transition and sustainable industrial development.”
IMC 2025 will go beyond traditional discussions of mineral extraction, focusing on how mining can drive industrial growth, climate action, and inclusive development.
Policymakers, investors, and industry leaders are expected to explore how Morocco’s strategic resources, especially critical metals, can support energy transition and reinforce national and regional sovereignty.
The congress program will feature high-level plenaries, ministerial panels, and breakaway sessions covering topics such as geometallurgy, mine water management, logistics corridors, talent development, and women’s leadership in mining.
Participants will gain insights into sustainable supply chains and responsible mining practices that are shaping Africa’s industrial future.
