Rabat – The Ministry of Education has announced deploying the “TelmidTICE” digital distance learning platform to maintain educational continuity for students, including in schools closed due to severe weather alerts.
This initiative also includes “pioneering institutions” closed following alerts forecasting heavy rainfall in several regions across Morocco, the ministry stated. The decision is in line with the recommendations of monitoring units seeking to preserve the safety of students and teaching staff.
“The ‘TelmidTICE’ digital platform provides students with supportive education resources in the form of educational videos, validated by educational inspectors and specialized staff, and based on an intelligent indexing system that allows learners to follow lessons according to their chronological and weekly progression, while ensuring ease of use, smooth navigation, and accessibility across various digital devices,” the statement added.
Access to the platform is available for two categories of users, namely teachers via their professional taalim.ma accounts and students using their Massar code.
The statement concluded by clarifying that the platform provides free access to video lessons and educational resources, enabling students to continue learning safely from home without consuming their internet data.
