Meknes – Marwan Rahiki maintained his perfect finishing streak on Saturday, securing a dominant first-round TKO victory over Ollie Schmid at UFC Perth.
The Featherweight bout took place at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. As part of the main card for UFC Fight Night: Della Maddalena vs. Prates, the event drew over 13,000 fans to witness the highly anticipated return of the Octagon to Western Australia.
Originally scheduled to face Jack Jenkins, Rahiki had to adapt to a late opponent change after Jenkins withdrew due to injury.
The fight started with both fighters trading leg kicks to find their range. While Schmid tried to stay active and move around, Rahiki’s speed soon took over. The Moroccan fighter backed Schmid against the fence and landed a powerful left hook that dropped him to the canvas.
The referee stepped in quickly after Rahiki landed more strikes, giving him his second UFC win since joining the promotion last October, proving he is one of the most dangerous finishers in the featherweight division.
“I didn’t come here by chance. It took me years; it took me a lot of sacrifice, and every time I come here, I have to look behind at everything I’ve been through. It’s only 15 minutes right now… you’ve got to come in to fight for 15 minutes, so I put the pressure on myself to be at my best.” Rahiki said during his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping.
The 23-year-old joined the UFC in October 2025, after a comeback win on Dana White’s Contender Series. Despite being dropped early in the fight, he secured a second-round TKO to earn his contract.
Nicknamed “Freaky”, Rahiki now holds a perfect professional MMA record of 9-0, having finished every single opponent he has faced.
This victory serves more than just to protect Rahiki’s perfect record; it cements his status as a legitimate threat in the UFC and paves a direct way for him to break into the featherweight top ten.
