Ahead of their clash with Borussia Dortmund, coach Vincent Kompany provided an availability update for his Bayern Munich squad.
“Everyone is back fit from international duty. Guerreiro took a knock against Frankfurt. He’ll train today, and if it goes well, he has a chance for tomorrow. Stanišić is out,” he said.
Regarding Harry Kane’s 90-minute involvement for England against Latvia, Kompany is not worried about the 32-year-old’s fitness and offered a calm response.
“He didn’t play the first game [vs Wales] and was given enough time to rest for the next one [vs Latvia], so it’s all good,” he explained.
Kompany acknowledged the tough task ahead against a “strong” BVB side who have shown “a lot of stability” lately. He also expressed his happiness at Alphonso Davies’ recovery work.
“It’s looking very good for him; I think the medical department and Phonzy are working well together. I was hoping for early January, maybe even a bit sooner.
“Now the body has to react to the workload week by week. Things are going well at the moment. If he can play a few games in December, then great job,” the coach said.
