Rabat — Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance (DGSN-DGST), conducted a field visit to the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.

The visit sought to inspect the readiness of the security protocols for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final between Morocco and Senegal.

During his visit, Hammouchi commended the efforts of all public security units, which played a major role in safeguarding this African football event.

He said this enhanced Morocco’s continental and international reputation, showcasing the country’s security model in managing major sporting events. Hammouchi also wished everyone continued success.

A security delegation accompanied Hammouchi to review the details of the public security protocol for this decisive match, including the external arrangements governing the movement of fans along the roadways leading to the stadium, and the procedures inside the venue.

Hammouchi also reviewed the security and safety plan that will remain in effect after the match, addressing requirements needed to secure fan movements in public spaces, ensure the safety of people and property, and protect sports facilities.

The international community has commended Morocco’s security model throughout the competition, highlighting the country’s efforts in ensuring the safety of fans and football players from all participating countries.

Several delegations, including those from the UK and America’s FBI, visited Morocco during the tournament to assess the country’s measures throughout the tournament.

The Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium is at its full capacity tonight, marking the finale of the tournament, bringing together Morocco and Senegal in one final showdown for the title.
