Rabat – Paris Saint‑Germain defeated Bayern Munich 5‑4 in a dramatic Champions League semi‑final first leg at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday night, with Moroccan full‑back Achraf Hakimi playing a key role.

Bayern struck first through Harry Kane’s penalty in the 17th minute, but PSG responded quickly as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia equalized seven minutes later.

The hosts then went ahead through João Neves before Bayern’s Michael Olise leveled again at 2‑2.

Just before halftime, Ousmane Dembélé converted a penalty to restore PSG’s lead, and Kvaratskhelia added his second early in the second half to make it 4‑2.

Hakimi provided the assist for that goal, underlining his influence on the night.

Dembélé scored again to put PSG 5‑2 up, but Bayern refused to fold.

Dayot Upamecano and Luis Díaz struck in quick succession to cut the deficit to 5‑4, setting up a tense finale.

Hakimi started at right‑back and delivered a strong performance, highlighted by his decisive pass for PSG’s fourth goal.

His energy and precision were vital in a contest where defensive lapses were frequent.

The victory gives PSG a narrow advantage heading into the second leg in Munich on May 6. With nine goals shared between the sides, the tie remains wide open.

Bayern showed resilience to fight back, while PSG’s attacking depth, led by Kvaratskhelia and Dembélé, proved decisive.

The return match promises another high‑intensity battle, with both teams still in contention for a place in the final.

PSG will hope Hakimi and their attacking stars can repeat their impact, while Bayern will look to tighten defensively and capitalize on home advantage.
