Rabat – The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, has decided to grant an exceptional promotion to a senior police inspector who died from serious injuries caused by a fatal traffic accident.

The accident took place in the rural area of Tamsia, on the outskirts of Agadir, on December 15. The police officer was returning home after finishing his work shift at Agadir Al Massira Airport when the accident occurred. He later passed away due to complications from his injuries.

Hammouchi instructed the central services in charge of human resources to officially register this exceptional promotion. This raises the late officer to the rank of Police Officer.

He also ordered that all administrative and financial benefits resulting from this promotion be granted to the officer’s family.

In addition, the Director General gave instructions to present condolences to the family of the deceased officer and to provide them with the necessary support during this difficult time.

This exceptional promotion reflects the continued care and attention given by the General Directorate of National Security to its staff and their families, especially those who make great sacrifices in the service of national security and the protection of citizens, concluded DGSN in a statement.
