Adam Masina On Al Sadd Radar After Leaving Torino

Rabat – Moroccan international Adam Masina is now a free agent after leaving Torino. Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed the news.

Following this decision, Al Sadd of Qatar, coached by Roberto Mancini, has shown interest in signing the defender to strengthen their back line.

Al Sadd’s first target remains Italian center-back Alessio Romagnoli, but if negotiations fail before the January 31 deadline, Masina is seen as a strong alternative. Because he is unattached, the Moroccan can join the club even after the transfer window closes.

Masina’s time at Torino was marked by consistency when fit, though he also struggled with muscle injuries that sidelined him for several weeks during the 2025–26 season.

Despite these setbacks, he managed to deliver solid performances in Serie A, showing his versatility as both a left-back and central defender. His defensive awareness and ability to cover space made him a reliable option whenever available.

On the international stage, Masina impressed with Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations, where he played a key role in the team’s defensive structure.

His physical presence, aerial strength, and calmness under pressure helped Morocco reach the final by only conceding one goal in open play throughout the whole tournament.

Now at 32, Masina’s experience in Italy and England, combined with his recent AFCON form, makes him an attractive signing for Al Sadd. The Qatari club sees him as a player who can bring experience and stability to their defense if Romagnoli’s deal does not go through.
