Morocco Ranked 15th Most Valuable National Team at $432 Million

Rabat – Transfermarkt has placed Morocco among the world’s most valuable national teams ahead of the March international break.

England tops the list with a squad worth $1.62 billion, followed by France $1.41 billion, Spain $1.31 billion, and Portugal in fourth.

Morocco stands out as the only Arab team in the top 20, ranked 15th with a total squad value of $432 million across 28 players.

In Africa, the Atlas Lions are third. Senegal leads the continent in 12th place worldwide with $459.8 million, while Côte d’Ivoire sits in 14th $448.9 million.

Paris Saint‑Germain defender Achraf Hakimi is Morocco’s most valuable player, estimated at $80 million.

The timing of this recognition is significant. Morocco was recently declared the Africa Cup of Nations champion after CAF ruled Senegal’s walk‑off a forfeit, boosting the team’s international profile.

The team now turns its focus to the 2026 World Cup, where it will face Brazil, Haiti, and Scotland in the group stage.

As part of preparations, Morocco will play two friendlies, against Ecuador on March 27 and Paraguay on March 31.

These matches will help newly appointed coach, Mohamed Ouahbi, to sharpen his squad and build momentum before the global tournament.
