Morocco Activates Crisis Cell for Nationals in the Middle East

Rabat – Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has set up a crisis cell to respond to concerns from Moroccan citizens living in the Middle East, as regional tensions raise uncertainty for expatriate communities.

In a statement, the ministry said it is closely monitoring developments and remains in constant coordination with Moroccan diplomatic missions across the region, as tensions in the Middle East reach a critical point.

The move comes against the backdrop of a sharp escalation between Washington and Tehran after US and Israeli strikes targeted Iran.

In response, Tehran launched retaliatory attacks, which pushed the region into a crisis and drew intense scrutiny from the international community.

Authorities urged Moroccan nationals to exercise caution, stay alert, and comply strictly with instructions issued by local authorities in their host countries.

To ensure direct communication and provide reliable information, the ministry has made dedicated phone lines available to citizens in the countries concerned.

At the central level, Moroccans can contact a toll-free number, 0800008098, for assistance and guidance.

Embassies have also shared emergency contact numbers for nationals who may require support.

In Saudi Arabia, citizens can call +966559634790. In the United Arab Emirates, the number is +971506796991.

In Bahrain, three lines are available: +97332055053, +97339042877, and +97317180444. For nationals in Qatar, they can reach +97444831884 or +97444831885.

In Kuwait, the contact number is +96566120164, while in Jordan, citizens can call +962797087839.

The ministry said the crisis cell will remain operational to address questions and provide assistance as the situation develops, reaffirming that the safety and well-being of Moroccan nationals abroad remain a priority.
