Getlink and Agsa-Partida Partner to Streamline Morocco-UK Trade Flows

Agadir – Getlink announced on February 4 that Getlink customs services has signed a partnership agreement with the spanish international logistics operator Agsa-Partida.

The initiative is designed to simplify administrative procedures and improve coordination for companies transporting goods between Morocco and the UK via Spain and France.

It brings together Getlink’s expertise in handling customs procedures for goods moving between continental Europe and the United Kingdom with Agsa-Partida’s strong operational presence at major Spanish border points and logistics centers.

By combining their capabilities, the two companies seek to offer businesses a single, coordinated service that manages customs requirements, organizes logistics operations, and ensures compliance with regulations throughout the entire transport route.

    Strengthening a strategic trade route

The partnership comes as Morocco-UK economic ties have strengthened significantly in recent years. Trade between the two countries has grown steadily since the bilateral partnership agreement came into force in 2021, with continued increases recorded across goods and services.

In parallel, trade volumes have reached several billion pounds annually in recent years, highlighting the UK’s growing importance as a commercial partner for Morocco and reinforcing the strategic value of efficient logistics and customs processes.

Both companies are eager to reduce transit delays, improve predictability in supply chains, and help businesses navigate post-Brexit customs requirements, which remain complex for many operators.

Building an integrated logistics chain from Morocco to the UK

The partnership establishes a coordinated operational network that manages each stage of the transport route. In Morocco, export procedures and port logistics are handled through PartidaMed, ensuring smooth departure of goods.

In Spain, Agsa‑Partida oversees operations at major logistics gateways, including Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona, and Motril, providing on-the-ground expertise at critical transit points.

Finally, in the United Kingdom, Getlink Customs Services manages import and export customs formalities, leveraging its specialization in cross‑channel freight flows to ensure timely and compliant delivery.

The partners say this structure will allow companies to manage customs, regulatory, and health compliance requirements through a single integrated system, reducing administrative fragmentation along the corridor.

    Industry leaders highlight strategic benefits

Julie Bagur, Managing Director of Getlink Customs Services, said the partnership responds directly to market demand for more efficient cross-border trade solutions.

“With this partnership, we are taking a significant step forward for our clients: opening up new markets and strengthening strategic expertise in a rapidly growing logistics corridor,” she said.

“Together, we offer a comprehensive and reliable solution capable of meeting the challenges of a rapidly evolving market.”

Jesús Aznar, Managing Director of Agsa-Partida Logistics, emphasized the operational impact of the cooperation on trade flows between the two countries.

“The partnership with Getlink Customs Services allows us to offer an integrated solution for customs formalities between Morocco and the United Kingdom, thereby reducing processing times and accelerating the transit of goods between the two countries,” he stated.

“Our teams share the same commitment to quality and efficiency to support operators and offer them new opportunities in strategic markets.”

With  Morocco actively positioning itself as a logistics and industrial hub connecting Africa, Europe, and global markets, the agreement reflects wider efforts across Europe and North Africa to modernize logistics infrastructure and digitalize customs procedures.
