Ai Everything MEA Egypt 2026 to Address AI Use in Cybersecurity

Mohammedia – Ai Everything MEA Egypt 2026 will take place in Cairo on February 11 and 12, with organizers expecting participation from technology companies, government bodies, and businesses from more than 60 countries.

With GITEX GLOBAL at the helm, in partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the event will bring together public and private sector stakeholders to examine the deployment of AI across enterprise systems and national digital infrastructure.

Cybersecurity forms part of the broader scope of the event, which addresses the use of AI across digital infrastructure, including data protection and network security.

AI systems are commonly used to scan large data sets, identify patterns, and flag unusual activity. In many cases, AI tools operate in the background of software systems already used by companies and public institutions.

As more services move online, AI is increasingly used to support digital security. AI-based systems monitor network activity and flag irregular behavior that may indicate unauthorized access or disruption. The ability to process large amounts of data quickly allows security teams to respond more efficiently than manual review methods.

In the financial sector, AI-supported security systems are widely used to monitor transactions, identify fraud, and protect customer accounts. Banks and payment providers rely on automated tools to review activity across digital platforms, particularly as mobile and online payments continue to grow. These systems are also used to support compliance with data protection rules and financial crime regulations.

AI is also used to support identity verification and access control, including systems that detect unusual login behavior or attempts to bypass authentication mechanisms.

In enterprise environments, AI tools help identify software vulnerabilities, prioritize security patches, and detect malicious code within corporate networks.

Public-sector agencies use AI-supported systems to protect digital government services, monitor large-scale networks, and respond to cyber incidents affecting critical infrastructure.

In industrial and manufacturing settings, AI is increasingly used to secure operational technology systems by detecting abnormal behavior in connected machines and control systems.

The choice of Cairo for the inaugural AI summit is no coincidence. Egypt’s National AI Strategy 2025–2030 identifies secure digital infrastructure as a priority as government services expand online. Official strategy documents link the growth of AI systems with the need to strengthen cybersecurity across public-sector platforms.

Against this backdrop, Egypt’s focus on AI and cybersecurity reflects broader efforts to expand digital services while managing associated risks.

Oversight and risk management are among the broader issues linked to the use of AI in cybersecurity. Questions around system reliability and the application of security standards remain relevant as AI tools are deployed across public and private systems.

At Ai Everything MEA Egypt, AI and cybersecurity are expected to be discussed as linked components of digital infrastructure, particularly in the context of enterprise systems and public services.

Among companies taking part are Fortinet, which develops AI-driven network security and threat detection systems, and Sangfor Technologies, which provides AI-based cybersecurity solutions focused on network protection, cloud security, and threat prevention for enterprise environments.
