The penultimate College Football Playoff rankings have been released, but the picture of who is going to make it in the final field is still unclear. A CFP first could happen this year with the potential of two Group of Five teams making the Playoff. This would mean the ACC champion would be left out. Andy Staples and Steven Godfrey discuss the scenario in which this could happen. They also discuss which bubble teams should be concerned and which bubble teams have a good shot at making the Playoff. Can Texas or Miami make their way into the field of 12? Is there a way Miami can jump Notre Dame? They guys dive into all of this and more from the latest rankings reveal.

Then, they jump back on the coaching carousel. Kalani Sitake had been rumored as a top candidate for the Penn State job. This is no longer the case as he announced that he will be staying at BYU. Andy and Godfrey explain how this all occurred and what role the CEO of Crumbl played in this story. Then, they discuss where Penn State goes from here and who fits best for the role. The guys also look at some other jobs that have been filled as both Oregon coordinators are set to become head coaches. Oregon’s defensive coordinator, Tosh Lupoi, returns to his alma mater to be the head coach at Cal. Oregon’s offensive coordinator, Will Stein, is off to be the head coach for Kentucky. How will these new branches from the Dan Lanning tree grow at their new locations?

Later, Andy and Godfrey dive into some recruiting news. The early national signing period begins on Wednesday and a shocking flip has already occurred. On Tuesday, it was announced that the top-ranked quarterback, Jared Curtis, is flipping from Georgia to Vanderbilt. The guys dive into this huge news and discuss what it means for Vanderbilt, Georgia and college football as a whole.
