Rabat – AC Milan has officially signed promising Moroccan midfielder Yahya Idrissi from Chelsea, a transfer that confirms the club’s focus on youth development.
Eighteen‑year‑old Yahya Idrissi Regragui has completed his move from Premier League side Chelsea to AC Milan during the winter transfer window, with the Rossoneri confirming the deal on their official channels.
The teenager, who joined Chelsea’s academy as a child and signed his first professional contract in April 2025, has been on the books at Stamford Bridge since the age of 11, developing through the club’s youth ranks.
AC Milan have described Idrissi’s arrival as part of their “Milan Futuro” project. It’s an initiative all about spotting and developing the kind of young talent that has what it takes to lead the club in the years to come.
It’s still early in his career, but Idrissi has already represented Morocco at youth international levels, earning caps with the U16s, U17s and U18s. Born in Watford, England, he chose to represent the Atlas Lions at youth level.
At AC Milan, Idrissi will start with the Futuro squad, training under a specialized program designed to help him transition to senior football. The move gives him exposure to Italian football and one of Europe’s most prestigious club environments, with the potential to break into the first team in the coming seasons.
