What to Know Before You Go

Marrakech – GITEX Africa 2026 is returning to Marrakech April 7-9, and thousands of visitors from across the continent and beyond are expected to attend.

With a packed schedule of events anticipated throughout the three days, planning ahead is essential to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.

Location, getting there and parking

GITEX Africa returns to Place Bab Jdid, a central area within the city that is easily accessible from major hotels and key districts.

The specific address is Place Bab Jdid, Boulevard Al Yarmouk, Marrakech, Morocco.

Traffic is expected to be heavy particularly during peak arrival hours in the morning and at the end of the day.

Public transportation remains one of the most practical ways to reach the venue. Several local bus routes serve the surrounding area, making it a viable option for attendees staying within the city.

However, taxis may be your best option, offering flexibility and direct access. Ride-hailing and private drivers are also widely available throughout Marrakech.

Visitors should note that there is no dedicated parking available directly at the venue.

As a result, using private cars is not recommended unless alternative parking arrangements have been secured in advance.

Entry and badge access

GITEX show hours are as follows:

April 7: 11 a.m. — 6 p.m

April 8: 10 a.m — 6 p.m

April 9: 10 a.m — 5 p.m

To streamline entry, all participants are required to have their event badges ready before arrival.

Security checks and controlled access points may also contribute to waiting times, particularly during the first hours of the day.

Arriving early not only helps avoid delays but also allows attendees to make the most of the programming, including keynote sessions and networking opportunities.

Connectivity and digital tools

As a leading tech event, GITEX Africa provides a strong digital environment for attendees.

Free Wi-Fi is available across the venue, supporting communication, meetings, and live content sharing.

In addition, GITEX Africa 2026 mobile app has all the key tools for navigating schedules, locating exhibitors, and connecting with other participants.

Food, beverage & on-site services

Attendees will find a variety of food and beverage options at the venue for purchase.

Catering stands and refreshment areas are available throughout the venue, allowing visitors to remain on-site throughout the day without needing to leave for meals.

However, dining options are limited, so it is recommended to plan ahead for bringing meals or scheduling delivery services.

Accommodation & city demand

With Marrakech hosting a large number of international visitors during the event, demand for hotels, transport, and related services is significantly higher than usual.

If you haven’t booked, hotels remain available for last-minute booking options, but call as soon as possible.

Practical tips

There may be limited charging stations throughout the event, so we recommend you bring power banks to keep devices charged and accessible.

GITEX is incredibly large, and comfortable footwear is a must.

Large media equipment, including cameras may not be allowed in the venue unless registered before.

Visitors should plan their schedule in advance, arrive early, and rely on taxis or public transport whenever possible.

Make sure you have a downloaded copy of your email of GITEX registration to avoid disruptions.

With the right preparation, navigating GITEX Africa can be seamless, allowing attendees to focus on what is important: innovation, networking, and business opportunities.
