    USM Alger Refuses to LeaveDressing Room after Pitch Violence in Safi

    Rabat –  USM Alger refuses to leave the dressing room despite the Confederation of African Football (CAF) deciding to proceed with the match, after calm was restored to the pitch.

    CAF officials confirmed that security conditions were met and ordered the match to proceed, ruling that stability has been restored and the necessary security conditions are now met.

    Olympic Safi squad are already on pitch conducting their warm-ups, and the USM Alger delegation remains inside their locker room, initially refusing to take the field following the pre-match disturbance.

    The game was scheduled to kick off at Stade El Massira in Safi, but chaos erupted when a large number of supporters stormed onto the field before the opening whistle.

    officials and organizers stood by, waiting to complete the formal starting protocols, but the game could not begin until USM Alger agreed to play.  Although the stadium eventually calmed d, the match could not start until the visiting team agreed to leave their locker room and take the field.
