Royal Air Maroc Evacuates Over 200 Moroccans from Dubai

Rabat – Moroccan carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has organized a special flight to enable the return of Moroccan citizens stranded in Dubai amid Israeli-UAE-Iran attacks.

SNRTNews, a Moroccan news outlet affiliated with the national television channel, said RAM organized a special flight to evacuate 270 Moroccans stranded due to the closure of airspaces in many countries in the wake of the rapidly escalating war in the Middle East.

The special flight departed for Casablanca at 6 p.m. Moroccan time on Wednesday.

It comes as Royal Air Maroc has been canceling several flights due to the worsening regional situation.

On Wednesday, RAM announced that flights AT216 and AT217 to and from Doha scheduled for March 5 were canceled.

“Our teams remain fully mobilized and continue to closely monitor the situation to ensure a safe resumption of operations as soon as conditions allow,” it said on X.

The announcement further invited all passengers to check their flight status on the “Manage My Booking” section on its official website.

Exchanges of attacks between Iran, Israel, and the US continue, with Tehran announcing today that it attacked a US oil tanker in the Gulf without providing further details.

The UAE also announced that six people were injured due to falling debris from drones that were intercepted by its air defense systems in Abu Dhabi today.

The affected nationals are from Pakistan and Nepal.

The war continues amid criticism, including from Russia, which now accuses the US and Israel of “trying to drag” Arab countries into war.

“They deliberately provoked Iran into retaliatory strikes against targets in some Arab countries, which led to human and material losses, which the Russian side deeply regrets,” the Russian Foreign Affairs Ministry said.

Qatar sent out an “elevated” emergency alert to residents, as reports suggest explosions in its skies are ongoing.

Bahrain, meanwhile, said it destroyed dozens of Iranian missiles and drones.

At the same time, Israel continues its offensive in Lebanon, with claims suggesting the attacks are targeting Iranian proxies in the region.

The Health Ministry in Lebanon said Israeli attacks killed at least 77 people since Monday. Around 527 people were injured.
