Rabat — Moroccan carrier Royal Air Maroc urged passengers to continue monitoring their flight status, stating that it will resume flights to and from Qatar once it is safe to reopen Qatari airspace.

Royal Air Maroc said on X today that it will update its passengers on the situation at 4 p.m. UTC.

“We advise our valued passengers to check their  flight status and update their contact information in the ‘manage booking’ section to receive all travel related notification.”

The airline also apologized to passengers for “any inconvenience caused” by the circumstances beyond its control.

On Friday, Royal Air Maroc announced it canceled several flights due to the closure of airspace in parts of the Middle East following the US and Israel attacks on Iran. On Saturday,  Iran, Iraq, Israel, Syria, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE announced at least partial closures of their airspaces, causing many airlines to cancel their flights.

German carrier Lufthansa suspended flights to Tel Aviv, Beirut, Amman, Erbil, Dammam, and Tehran until March 8.

These extended cancellations that were already in place.

Emirates, Etihad, Air France, British Airways, Air India, and Turkish Airlines also canceled services.

Tensions continue in the Middle East.

The Times of Israel reported that an Iranian missile struck Beit Shemesh, Israel today, killing at least six people.

Today, Saudi Arabia summoned the Iranian ambassador over the Gulf attacks.

“Foreign Ministry summons the Iranian ambassador to the Kingdom in response to Iran’s brazen attacks that targeted the Kingdom and a number of brotherly countries,” the ministry said in a statement on X.
