Ouahbi to Announce on Thursday Morocco’s Squad for Upcoming Friendlies

Rabat – Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi will reveal his squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Ecuador and Paraguay during a press conference scheduled for Thursday, the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has confirmed.

In a statement earlier today, the federation said that Ouahbi will make the announcement at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, starting at 12 p.m. local time. The list will include the players selected for the two matches later this month.

Morocco will first face Ecuador on March 27 in Madrid, Spain. A few days later, the team will take on Paraguay on March 31 in Lens, France.

These matches are part of Morocco’s preparations for the upcoming 2026 World Cup. They also give Ouahbi another opportunity to test his squad and evaluate different options within the team.

The squad announcement is expected to draw attention, especially after recent changes within the Atlas Lions technical staff. With new faces joining the coaching setup, there is growing interest in how the team will look under Ouahbi’s leadership.

The friendlies will also allow Morocco to face two different styles of play. Ecuador brings a physical and fast approach from South America, while Paraguay are known for their defensive organization and discipline.

For many players, these games represent an important chance to secure their place in Ouahbi’s Atlas Lions squad. At the same time, the coaching staff may look to give opportunities to younger players or those who have recently impressed at club level.
