Rabat – The Moroccan National Airports Office (ONDA) has announced an ambitious, immersive campaign designed to plunge travelers into the excitement of the continent’s biggest sporting event, the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
In collaboration with the Local Organizing Committee and the Confederation of African Football (CAF), ONDA is rolling out a series of initiatives across airports nationwide ahead of the CAF Awards 2025, scheduled for November 19 in Rabat, and in anticipation of the AFCON 2025.
The campaign transforms airport spaces into immersive celebration zones, featuring monumental arches, oversized trophies, immersive tunnels, and interactive fan zones, according to an ONDA statement.
It aims to provide a memorable experience that captures the passion of the game, ensuring that travelers feel the spirit of the AFCON from the moment they arrive or depart.
‘An experience that matches the fervor of African football’
By turning airports into arenas of emotion and shared enthusiasm, ONDA aims to make football a universal language of welcome, pride, and African unity.
The campaign also reflects the Office’s broader strategy of placing the passenger experience at the heart of its operations.
In close coordination with Morocco’s territorial authorities, including the Ministry of Interior, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), the Royal Gendarmerie, and the Customs and Indirect Tax Administration (ADII), as well as the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, ONDA is ensuring a smooth, secure, and welcoming arrival for all travelers.
“Teamwork, operational rigor, and a passion for service come together to offer an airport experience that matches the fervor of African football,” ONDA said.
The campaign also aligns with Morocco’s broader football momentum, energized by the exploits of the Atlas Lions and the recent success of the U20 team. It embodies a continent in motion, proud and ambitious, united by sport.
The rollout has already begun to welcome delegations, African football legends, nominees, officials, and international media attending the CAF Awards 2025. It will progressively intensify ahead of and during the AFCON, scheduled from December 21, to January 18, 2026, accompanying travelers throughout the competition.
“This initiative illustrates the complementarity of national actors united around the Royal Moroccan Football Federation,” ONDA stated.
