OGC Nice is gearing up for an active winter transfer window, aiming to recover from a disastrous start to the season by strengthening their squad. The French club has identified defence as a key area for reinforcement and is looking toward the Bundesliga for potential signings.

In addition to their previously reported interest in Elye Wahi, Nice’s management is now closely monitoring another sidelined player from Eintracht Frankfurt. According to reports from L’Équipe, that player is Aurèle Amenda.

The 22-year-old defender, of Cameroonian origin, could address his lack of playing time while bringing valuable experience to Nice’s backline. Les Aiglons’ defence has been weakened by injuries and upcoming absences due to the Africa Cup of Nations, making Amenda a sensible target.

However, Nice are not alone in tracking the player. As exclusively reported by Africafoot, Italian side Hellas Verona is also closely monitoring the situation of the young centre-back.

Amenda joined Eintracht Frankfurt from Young Boys Bern for €9.5 million but has struggled for minutes this season, playing only 376 minutes across all competitions. His contract with the German club runs until the summer of 2029. Currently valued at around €6 million, Amenda earns an annual salary of €640,000 in Germany.
