Rabat—Morocco’s women’s national football team will face Burkina Faso in two international friendlies on Friday, February 27 and Tuesday, March 3, as part of preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The matches will be played at the Prince Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex in Rabat, with kick-off scheduled for 22:00 local time on both occasions. The fixtures were confirmed by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation as the Atlas Lionesses continue their build-up to the continental tournament, which Morocco will host next month.
Head coach Jorge Vilda recently oversaw a training camp at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora, assembling an extended squad to fine-tune tactical options and evaluate player combinations ahead of the competition.

Final Preparations Before WAFCON
The double-header against Burkina Faso is a key test for Morocco, offering a competitive match rhythm before the start of WAFCON 2026, scheduled to run from March 17 to April 3.
Burkina Faso’s women’s national team has also been holding a preparation camp in Morocco, using the friendlies as part of its own pre-tournament program.
As hosts of the upcoming continental event, Morocco are expected to use these final warm-up fixtures to solidify their starting structure, improve cohesion, and build momentum before competitive action begins.
