Morocco Opens Military Service Registration for 2026 Conscript Intake

Morocco has launched its annual military service census, with young citizens between the ages of 19 and 25 now able to register through April 30.

The Interior Ministry announced the start of the enrollment process on March 2, ahead of a September 1 incorporation date for the 2026 conscript class. The initiative is carried out under directives from King Mohammed VI, with Interior Minister Abdelouafi Laftit overseeing the rollout.

Registration is handled online through the dedicated platform www.tajnid.ma. Those who receive a personal notice – or whose families are notified on their behalf – are directed to complete the census form through the site.

Young men and women who meet the age requirement but have not received a summons may also register voluntarily through the same portal during the open window.

The process is also available to Moroccan citizens living abroad who are registered with consular services and wish to complete their military service.

A central census commission, chaired by a chamber president at the Court of Cassation, met on February 18 at the Interior Ministry to set the criteria for identifying eligible conscripts. The commission’s framework is designed to uphold equal treatment across citizens and ensure geographic balance across the country’s regions.

Those seeking information about the process can contact their local administrative authorities, visit orientation services at provincial and prefecture headquarters, or consult the ministry’s website directly.
