Rabat – The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has denied rumors alleging the presence of a child kidnapping ring reportedly linked to organ trafficking.

DGSN said no case of child abduction related to organ trafficking has been registered by police services.

The E-Balagh, an online platform dedicated to online complaints, has not received a report matching the incident described in rumors viral online, DGSN explained.

Reporting systems including the “My Child is Missing” system have not received any notification concerning incidents similar to those being spread in these rumors.

In the statement, DGSN acknowledged that its information monitoring units detected the circulation and sharing of old recordings related to cases of minors who had gone missing without any criminal suspicion.

The videos were misleadingly promoted as recent child abduction cases, DSN said, noting that the rumors have fueled fear among some citizens.

Judicial investigations established that none of the incidents had any criminal nature or connection to kidnapping or organ trafficking, with authorities confirming  commitments to clarify and debunking rumors circulating on the matter.

Judicial investigations are also ongoing to detect the entities and individuals involved in spreading false information, undermining public order and sense of security.

The allegation came amid concerns after authorities found the body of the 13-year-old Hiba, a student from Ait Chiker village in Azilal province.

Authorities were searching for Hiba for days, but her case ended in tragedy when her body was found in Bine El Ouidane lake on February 22.

Hiba had been missing for nine days, sparking an intense search operation involving local authorities, security forces, and volunteers from nearby villages.

She disappeared on the morning of February 14, after leaving her sister’s house to head to the local middle school.

She never made it to school, and her sudden disappearance left her family and the community in shock.

As search efforts intensified, authorities and volunteers scoured the region, hoping for her safe return.

The local community came together for days, working tirelessly to find the young girl. But despite their efforts, the discovery today brought only sorrow.

Her body was found  in the waters of Bine El Ouidane, a lake near the area, confirming the worst.
