Casablanca – King Mohammed VI on Saturday visited the Mausoleum of Mohammed V in Rabat to mark the anniversary of the late sovereign’s passing, a date that coincides this year with the 10th day of the holy month of Ramadan.
The King was accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Prince Moulay Rachid and Prince Moulay Ahmed.
The visit unfolded in a solemn atmosphere, as the royal family paid tribute to the memory of King Mohammed V, widely regarded as the Father of the Nation and a central figure in Morocco’s independence.
The King also stood in remembrance at the tomb of Hassan II, honoring the late monarch’s legacy and his role in shaping modern Morocco.
The commemoration is observed each year as a moment of reflection and continuity, recalling the contributions of the late kings to the country’s sovereignty and development.
Saturday’s visit followed that tradition, marked by quiet prayer and respect within the historic mausoleum overlooking the Bouregreg.
