Rabat – Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, threatened that Tehran will launch attacks against the US and Israel with force that “they have never experienced before.”

“Yesterday Iran fired missiles at the United States and Israel, and they did hurt. Today, we will hit them with a force that they have never experienced before,” the Iranian top security official said on X.

Israel also threatened to continue “powerful air strikes” on Tehran.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said, “We will organize a continuous air ridge to carry out a powerful attack on targets in Tehran.”

Qatar condemned the attack, expressing strong condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting the oil tanker and the port of Duqm.

“Qatar considers these attacks a violation of Omani sovereignty, an unacceptable escalation, and a cowardly act targeting a state that plays an active role in mediation efforts,” the Qatari Foreign Affairs ministry said today.

Iran also attacked assets belonging to the US and Israel in Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

The report said Bahrain intercepted a new wave of Iranian missiles and drones today.

In addition, reports also said explosions were heard in the east of Riyadh.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran considers seeking justice and exacting retribution from the perpetrators and those who ordered this historic crime to be its duty and legitimate right, and it will devote all its strength to fulfilling this great responsibility and obligation,” the president said.

Many flights were suspended to Gulf countries amid the situation.

According to Al Jazeera, GCC foreign ministers are se tto hodl video conference today to discuss the situation.

Today, Iranian state media confirmed the killing of several senior Iranian figures, including the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Among the killed figures are also Khamenei’s security adviser Ali Shamkhani, Iran’s armed forces chief of staff General Abdul Rahim Mousavi, Defense Minister Aziz Nasirazadeh, and  IRGC commander in chief Mohammad Pakpour.

The killing of the Iranian leader sparked frustration and backlash not only in Iran. Hamas mourned his killing, while Hothis also extended their sincere condolences to the people of Iran.

His killing and the attacks on Iran also sparked protests, including in New York.
