Rabat – Wydad Athletic Club hosts AS FAR tonight at Stade Mohammed V in a rescheduled Botolo Pro Round of 9; the match is considered one of the biggest fixtures of the Moroccan season.

Wydad enter the game second in the table with 26 points from 10 matches, just one behind their city rivals Raja.

AS FAR sit fifth with 22 points from the same number of games, knowing that a win in Casablanca would put them back in the title race.

    Match Details:

Fixture: Wydad AC vs AS FAR Rabat

Competition: Botola Pro (postponed Round 9)

    Venue: Stade Mohammed V, Casablanca

    Kick-off: 10 p.m. local time, Wednesday, March 4

How to watch: Arryadia TV or YouTube

    Wydad Team News

Wydad came into the match in strong form. They beat RS Berkane 1-0 in their last league game and have now won five straight games in Botola. Their overall record stands at 8 wins and 2 draws from 10 Matches, with 20 goals scored and only 5 conceded, showing their both attacking and defensive stability

The squad also has notable names. Hakim Ziyech, Wissam Ben Yedder, Ramiro Vaca, and Hamza Hannouri are among the options available to coach Amine Benhachem.

Hannouri is one of the team’s top scorers with 4 goals, and the recent run of results suggests Wydad have found a consistent balance.

    AS FAR Team News

AS FAR also arrive with confidence. They beat CODM Meknes 3-0 in their last match and remain unbeaten in the league, with 6 wins and 4 draws from 10 matches. They have scored 18 goals and conceded just 2, underlining their defensive strength.

There are some concerns, though. Local reports say Bourika is not available as he has not fully recovered, while goalkeeper Reda Tagnaouti is doubtful after a shoulder injury against US Touarga. On the positive side, the club received encouraging medical updates before this trip.

AS FAR also have key threats. Youssef El Fahli is one of their best players, and the team’s style is built on defensive control and efficiency in attack.

    What to Expect

This match should be tense and physical, with both sides sharp tactically. Wydad have the advantage of home support and strong momentum, winning 10 of their last 11 games.

AS FAR bring one of the best defenses in the league, conceding only twice in 10 matches, which makes them dangerous in this type of contest.

Wydad are likely to push the tempo early and use the crowd to keep pressure on. AS FAR may sit compact, and wait for counterattacks. With both clubs chasing the title, small details could decide the outcome.

    Safe Bets and Prediction

    • Under 2.5 Goals: AS FAR have gone under this line in 9 of their last 10 matches, and Wydad’s home games often stay tight.
    • Wydad Double Chance: Their home form and current momentum make them slight favorites.
    • Both Teams to Score – No: Both defenses are among the strongest in the league.

    Prediction: Wydad 1-0 AS FAR.
